Welcome to T.L.C. Holland Lops Rabbitry!
We are located in Brookshire, TX, (about 30 minutes to Houston). Our bunnies are our PETS and our rabbitry is our hobby. We raise high quality Holland Lop rabbits for show and pets. Holland Lops are considered to be the best domestic rabbit due to their curious nature and friendly disposition. They are among the dwarf rabbit breeds, weighing between only 2 1/2 and 4 pounds and they come in an array of beautiful colors.
We are the top premium rabbitry in the Houston area. What is a "premium rabbitry"? A premium rabbitry is that of the highest standards, care, and quality. We provide our rabbits with daily exercise, ORGANIC hay and daily organic vegetables, PREMIUM Oxbow pellets, and tons of TLC. The guest appartment of our home is the "Bunny Room"...SPOILED! All of our bunnies are litter trained upon going home. They are also housed in large, multi-level SOLID FLOOR cages. Only the best for our buns!
We don't always have enough bunnies for everyone and we realize that you may have to adopt a bunny from a different breeder. Below are some questions to ask a breeder and the correct answers you will hear from a premium breeder.
Q: What brand of pellets and what amount do you feed your rabbits?
A: Oxbow, Sherwood, or any comparable brand. 1/3 cup per day.
Q: What kind of vegetables do you feed your rabbit, and how often?
A: All organic vegetables ONCE daily. (Some breeders practice a horrible policy of giving their rabbits vegetables every 3-5 days to save time and money).
Q: Where are your rabbits caged?
A: Inside the home with the breeder in a space temperature controlled to 70 degrees.
Q: How are your rabbits caged?
A: In solid floor cages. NOT in wire floor cages.
Q: Do you offer a health guarantee?
Q: May I see your rabbitry?
A: Some may say yes, and others may say that they will send you a video. Either way they WILL show you their rabbitry.
Q: Does my bunny come with a pedigree?
Q: Are you a member of ARBA?
A: Yes-make sure to ask for a copy of the membership card.
Q: Do you treat your rabbits for worms?
A: Yes, every four months.
Q: Will your rabbitry provide advice for the life of my rabbit?
