Welcome to T.L.C. Holland Lops Rabbitry!

(For litter updates, please see the "Waiting List".)

We are the top premium rabbitry and educational resource for Holland Lops, in Texas. What is a "premium rabbitry"? A rabbitry of the highest standards of care and quality. We provide our rabbits with daily love, exercise, organic vegetables, herbs, premium Small Pet Select, Oxbow or Sherwood pellets, (only SPS) hay and tons of tender, loving care...In a word - SPOILED!

Our buns are our pets and our rabbitry is our hobby. We raise only high-quality Holland Lop rabbits for show and pets. In 2021, we decided to spread out and get more comfy, so our bunnies are now located in our Bunny Bungalow, about thirty minutes south of
San Antonio, Texas. Not to worry though, we still serve the Houston area and everywhere in-between.

Holland Lops are considered to be the best domestic rabbit due to their curious nature and friendly disposition. They are among the dwarf rabbit breeds, weighing between only 2 1/2 and 4 pounds and they come in an array of beautiful colors.
TLC Holland Lops is also an educational website where we provide our bunny parents (and the general public) with the most in-depth, quality education on how to properly care for their Holland Lops. Because we love our Holland Lops and our bunny parents so much, we also give free, life-time support to all of our Holland Lop parents.

We encourage all of our bunny parents to free-roam their buns. That is why all of our bunnies are urine litter trained upon going home, or well on their way. We also provide very helpful information on how to either complete their potty training and/or to keep them potty trained. Our bunnies are housed inside, in open air and view, 54 square foot suites for each bunny. Very rarely we may use a large, multi-level solid floor cage to temporarily hold a bunny, but in general, at TLC Holland Lops, the word, "cage" is kind of a dirty word. We provide only the best for our buns and we will show you how to do it too!

Because we don't always have enough bunnies for everyone and we realize you may have to adopt a bunny from a different breeder, below are some questions to ask, and the correct answers you will hear from a premium breeder:

Q: What brand of pellets and what amount do you feed your rabbits?
A: Small Pet Select, Oxbow, Sherwood, or a comparable brand, 1/3 cup per day for adults (for measured pellets). For an in-depth look at feeding your Holland Lop, see "Bunny Feeding".

Q: What kind of vegetables do you feed your rabbits and how often?
A: We use only organic leafy greens and/or vegetables, once or twice daily.
Some breeders have a horrible practice of giving their rabbits vegetables every 3-5 days to save time and money. This is unacceptable. They are rabbits and although veggies (and especially fruits) must be given sparingly, everyone knows that rabbits love their veggies! Occasionally, our bunnies get herbs as well, and they always have apple sticks and proper chew toys, and of course fun hideaways.

Q: Where/how are your rabbits housed or caged?
A: Inside with plenty of space to hop, jump, move and play. As mentioned before, all of our buns have at least 54 square feet of luxurious living spaces in our Bunny Bungalow. They are NEVER in wire floor cages. This is very important not only for the health of their paws but also to continually encourage them to stay potty trained.

Q: Do you offer a health guarantee?
A: Yes - your bun will be perfectly healthy upon going home.

Q: May I see your rabbitry?
A: Some may say, "yes" and others may say they will send you photos or a video. Either way they will show you their rabbitry and how their bunnies are housed. A video or photos helps keep rabbitries healthy without disturbing or frightening the bunnies. Please see, "Meet Our Bunnies" for photos of our new Bunny Bungalow. We are very proud of our new setup!
(NOTE: You should run away from any breeder who will not provide you with current photos or a video of where their bunnies are housed. Please do not purchase from a bunny mill! You would be far better off to adopt a bunny from an animal rescue facility to help support them.)

Q: Does my bunny come with a pedigree?
A: Yes - When bought as a show or brooder.

Q: Are you a member of ARBA?
A: Yes - You may ask for a copy of our membership card.

Q: Do you treat your rabbits for worms?
A: Yes - every four months.

Q. Do you treat your bunnies for ear mites?
A. Yes - quarterly.
(NOTE: Bunnies can get ear mites from hay, grass or the environment outside, or even being exposed to objects that have been outside. Ear mites are very easy and inexpensive to treat.)

Q: Will your rabbitry provide advice for the life of my rabbit?
A: Absolutely!

Now that you have familiarized yourself with TLC Holland Lops, go to our "Available Bunnies" page to see who is currently available for adoption. That page is continuously being updated so please check there often for updates. If we do not have a bunny right now that you are interested in, and if you are a novice at Holland Lop ownership, please use this time to educate yourself and/or your family on the proper care and feeding of a bunny. You will find a wealth of information under, "Learn About Bunnies". Start with, "Bunny Feeding".

To help ensure you and your new bunny will be well cared for, you will need to pass our "Test Your Bun Knowledge" test before you can adopt one of our bunnies. (We are currently in the process of creating the test).

Finally, you may look below and ask yourself, "Where are all the links to the most popular social media sites!?" After-all, everyone has them, right? The answer is that we do have a FB page, which we rarely look at. If we spent all of our time on various social media sites, our bunnies and bun parents would get far less tender, loving, care from us. Our buns and people come first.

Happy Hopping and THANK YOU for considering TLC Holland Lops for your adoption resource!
As an Amazon, Awin, or other associate, some links on our site may earn us a small commission on qualifying purchases, at no cost to you, but helps us support our educational website and premium rabbitry.
Thank you for your support!
